Providing humans with a good life before sending them to the slaughterhouse is essential. This means living conditions that respect their fundamental needs: space, appropriate food, care, a reduction of daily stress, and the constant presence of the sense of freedom they cherish so deeply.
The idea is simple: if killing takes place, then the life that precedes it should not be a succession of deprivations. Ultimately, the way of living matters just as much as the final outcome.
What do you feel when you look at this image?
Let us imagine for a moment that farm animals are treated well: far from the relentless pace of industrial farming and in accordance with their biological needs. In this scenario, they would be happy from birth to death and would live a good life.
Would it then become acceptable to kill them prematurely on this basis?
Some answer yes. Yet, when the scene is observed through the lens of the Anethos fiction, putting an early end to a happy life becomes absurd.
